Ok pulled the pump apart both my original and donor are the 82/88 combo
the 10 vein pump i had in there rotor was .707" and slide was maybe .0005 to .001 over the rotor(maybe due to any burs)
the pump body rotor surface had couple nice grooves in it
not as bad on the stator side, but not as clean as could be
now my donor pump (untoched) came from my 86 olds 307 powered Regal
rotor surfaces on both halves look pretty good
seems both depths on both pump bodys varied in the same spots
butthe same between the two bodys
i was getting like .710 to like somewhere around .714
i am sure using the back of the calipers is going to be at least a thou or two off from using a better tool for the job, maybe like a depth mic or something ,but its all i got
ok i found a blue/yellow slide spring with smaller yellow inside on the brf pump
kcf(ithink) had just the one blue and yellow
pr valve i pulled had the ground ring between the holes with a natural colored spring
also brf had natuarl colored spring for lock up
where as the kcf had a dual spring setup with colors being yellow and green
both pumps had the other larger spring (forget what its called )
both orange
well the stator is in good shape, and looks like i will just need to have a new bushing put in
i am skeptical on the pr valve and spring setup ,i may or may not just order the pr kit
if i can work with these clearences in the pump
it worked fine before ,however not sure if liek the sticky says ,was that way to much and caused a prob with diff operating temps
i'd love to just get a new pump, just cant hack it right now, well could with plastic
bt thats another story
what do ya'l think
i know its the well spend now and dont worry about it ,ortake a gamble and not have the reassurance
is this pump workable or what?
oh ya P.S. boost valve is the .500 and reverse i think is apx 365
thanks a bunch
