I tried the search and didnt see anything.

1)should i be worried of underhood temps w these?

2)how are you connecting to the map sensor and the hvac line?

3) is 1/4" hose too big to use for the fpr and or the whole system?

i will be doing the system myself and not a kit.
Thanks in advanced.
Jeff

1/4" is way bigger than you need. They're just signal lines. They will slow down the rate, but in the real world I can't imagine it would matter. Air really isn't all that heavy in the grand scheme of things.

I like safety wire for sealing up my push on/barbed connections. One full loops and then tie it off, that way you don't pinch up a spot. I so the same thing with zip ties, but I feel that aircraft grade stainless steel is a little stronger :)

Heat should not be a problem. Just kept away from exhaust. The tow behind portable compressors I work on have been using push to lock for years. The only failures I've seen are when the compressors have cot on fire. Air oil runs up to 240 F.

Buy good fittings though. I've seen some of the cheaper ones loosen up over time. Legris are pretty good and seem to hold up.
