Justa wondering how many of you guys have done this
as it seems us hot air guys have no option other than a ta-33:o
since no one makes anything any bigger for the hot airs:(
and my pockets arnt deep enough right now to buy a 900.00 small turbo:eek:
I have 86-87 turbo that was just rebuilt and was thinking of welding one of the spare adapters i have to it and mouting it up on my hot air
the only problem i see is the lack of the driver side bracket to keep it bolted down
anybody got any ideas
thanks

if you look a few post down im going to start doing the mod so you can use any TA- series turbo on your 84-85 gn. as far as the lack of being able to bolt it down thats not true. i have run just the 2 bolts on the turbo mounting bracket for some time with some 28 pounds of boost plus and have never lifted the turbo out of that area. once you got the dp bolted on and the up-pipe you dont need another mount. if you want you can mount it like the factory but there is no need. i can tell you how if you want but if not you dont need it. right now im running a TA-54 turbo and later on im going to be going to a TA-66. good luck and if you want i can do the mod for you or you can do it either way good luck.
