putting in a torque converter

I'm having a local shop by me put in a 2800-3000 stall because I don't know how and I don't want to mess anything up. How long should it take them to do this? They know turbo buicks real well because the shop owner used to own a few now he owns a couple Grand Sports.

Yep, should be pretty quick.

Make sure they put the ground wire back on one of the drivers side bolts up there.

Kinda tricky to see and do and they may not even see it when they take them all out.

Do it yourself and save some money. It's one of the easiest things you can do.

6 bolts in bell housing, 5 or 6 in cross memeber, 4 in rear end and a few on the linkage.

Put converter on input shaft, spin until it clicks 3 times... put it back together, line up with flywheel... next.

Yea it's a piece of cake if you have a lift and tall tranny jack. On jackstands, alone with only a floorjack it can be a tad more challenging

Yeah I don't have the right equipment for the job like a trans jack just jackstands for the car. I don't want to risk hurting the car or myself. Not to mention my tool set is two tool sets that my brother has taken apart piece by piece over the course of three years because he is to cheap to go out and buy his own tools.
