Does this look right?
Pull it this morning looking for my smoking at idle problem.
It had a little oil in it .
Rattles and seems to seal when blown through in one direction.

It's been a while but it looks correct. Is it a CV893C?

It was light blue almost white .
I started it this morning after plugging the line and it was smoking started about 3 minutes after start up.
It is cool and misting rain here so some was because of that. I started my truck to compare and it white smoke too but the GN seemed to have a blur tint. The GN was for sure burning oil it was blue smoking at idle after a good drive on a hot 90 degree day.
I took it for a short drive this morning romped on it about 5 times on the trip and parked it letting it idle.
I'm looking out the window now and there is no smoke at all from the tail pipes after setting idling for 5 minutes. I'm walking out to take a close look now. Looks pretty clear I saw a brief puff of white looking smoke for a second then it's clear again...
I really have a hard time believing the PVC could cause it.

Pulled it and shut the door and it was smoking a little looked white.
I hate this car.

It's hard to said if that is the right one since the photo don't any marking on it.
Many used other type instead of AC Delco type like 626gn claimed.

It's a positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve, not a PVC valve. I wouldn't get hung up on whether you are using the correct one or not. The one you posted a picture of is of the right style. Is it the exact model number? Who cares? Maybe it will let a little more or less air through. Either way, the ECM will easily compensate for that. Your issue could be valve guide seals but I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it starts pouring smoke or consuming a lot of oil.

Excuse me PCV .
I made a typo.
I may leave the PCV un hooked and drive it a while to see if the smoke stays away.
I put a new felpro intake gasket on when I changed the head gaskets but the smoke started a while after I think.
It's burned about 1/2quart so far probably about 1200 miles.

I bet money there is oil in the bottom of your intake. Put an oil separator in between the pcv and TB and get that residue out. Had the same exact problem....Used to go to car shows and after sitting all day it would embarrass me to start it up. Cleaned the oil out and threw a separator in and bammmm!!,

Have a link to one of these?

Why did it just start over the last year if its the PCV though?
Could the new intake gasket do it?
It looked pretty much like the stock one with the one piece design and belly pan.

Exactly. ^^^^ I actually grabbed a cheap one from lowes that goes on an air compressor just to see how much it would accumulate. I was shocked. I'll see if I can snag a pic in a little bit and show what u can do in about an hour and less than $20. I plan to do a nice billet one down the road, but this works perfect for now.

Pull the pipe off the throttle body and shine a flashlight in the throttle body and you can see the base of the intake ( unless you have a power plate I think)...

Actually I think there's a PCV made out of PVC available....you
can get one from wally mart! :D

Here's a few pics of my quick setup that shows clearly how much is accumulated. This is after an hour of driving a round and half throttle playing..it was the same with my old motor and my fresh one. I cut down the RJC pcv valve and got a preformed 3/8" hose and routed it out the back and up the the separator.

Good information thanks!
I drove the car to church this morning and here are my observations.
Smoke is blue smells like oil .
It is sparattic I think I saw it turn in at McDonald's but none setting at idle
This was with the Pcv disconnected so its not the Pcv.
Got it home let it set in the yard for 10 minutes no smoke to mention.
Drive it around to the shop there's a little incline going IMO the shop door.
I pop the hood leave it running get out and there is a cloud of smoke the puffs ou the pipes then its gone again.
Weird !!
It blows a couple more small puffs then its clear again.
I back it out the door putting it on the incline it smokes a little and again a little after I pull back in the hop then quits...
Seems a guy told me these cars have issues with drain back at the back of the heads and will pull oil down the guides.
I had these heads checked and the Valve job cleaned up after I pocket ported them they also put on the new felpro valve seals.
I am leaning toward a valve seal problem now seem like a turbo seal would move all the time.

No I did not look.
I have the power plate deal too fwiw.
I figured if I stopped the source by plugging the Pcv if it was in the intake it would stop.
