Depends on how much oil is in the line and bottom of intake. It could be other things...but quick to see if this is it

Ok thanks for the advice ill either pull it or run it a few weeks plugged to see if it stops smoking.

Update
I drove the car to church again thinking with the Pcv disconnected if that was the problem the among would go away as anything left in the intake would be burned out.
I saw a little blue smoke after it set idling for a few minutes but it ran fine I thought I saw some smoke behind me at times when off the throttle coasting mostly. I got to church and it was smoking at idle pretty good and smelling of burned oil.
After church I take off font notice any smoke to speak of go to McDonalds with the kids in the back seat all seems ok.
I get out have done guy wantIing to try and by my Monty Carlo when I get inside( should have unloaded it)
Anyway afterward I swap vehicles to wash my wife's car for her. She is driving the GN and as she sets wAiting for my don to come out of the McDonald's smoke starts pouring from the exhaust like crazy !
She drives off smoking like crazy looks like its blown up.
She stopped at Fred's I wash off her car takes about 10 minutes and I drive passed Fred's there it sets smoking the whole parking lot up.
People are coming in the store saying there's a black car on fire in the parking lot!
I pull in get my son who was setting in it texting or something to switch cars .
I drive it home and it's running fine I was realy worried the smoke looked kind of white to me, but smelled like oil.
I drive off and the longer I drive the less it smokes ,
It's really leaving a trail at first. I get home pull into the shop get out and it's not smoking !
I am sure it would have started though if I left it idling .
Weird crap.... Wished I'd got the guys phone number!
The oil looked clear and about 1/2 quart low,
I am guess the turbo is bad right now I dug out my old stock turbo and was thinking about swapping it out hoping I see proof of the problem in the process. Any thoughts ?

I had a sneaky feeling I've been in the same situation a couple of time. Glade you caught it before you had some real damage to the turbo sending metal through your oiling system damn I hate it when I have a excuse to upgrade to bigger and faster parts LOL!

I pulled the TE44 off this evening and put the stock turbo back on.
It was slow with the 44 IMO now it's probably realt gonna be a slug now lOl

What does a rebuild run on a TE44 ?
Can it be upgraded ?
I am switching back to Mobil 1 that's for sure.
The engine was on it till I put this turbo on and I put 20-50 and I think it was a contributor to the failure .

Imho Bison is the go to guy for turbo or turbo related issues I'm sure he will steer you with the best possible options
