I just got my RJC powerplate and getting ready to put it on my car. I noticed that there is no hole for the EGR to work.My question is this. Can I install the powerplate and not drill a hole for the EGR? Will this cause me any problems down the road?

Thanks!

you can leave it blocked but really no reason too
i dont run egr and i dont have no problems

If you have emissions testing where you live, you will not be able to pass without the egr functioning...Otherwise, you shouldn't have any problems...Some have had some part throttle pinging from not having the egr turned off in the chip, but some haven't had any problems at all...

It's your call, but if you're always going to be wondering about it, I would drill the hole for the egr to function...

Okay, what I will do is install the powerplate with out making any chnages. If I start getting problems all I will do it put the required hole in the powerplate.

Thanks!

Do you have a scan tool or audible knock sensor??? What you will notice is at part throttle cruising, you MAY get some detonation due to the ecm advancing the timing because it thinks the egr is functioning...Some cars do and some don't...It shouldn't be anything severe, but it will hit it with maybe .5 to 1 deg of knock, at least it was on mine...But really not a big deal, since it's not under boost...The EGR isn't functioning at idle or WOT anyway...
