Question about low boost with HD actuator

I'd like to tune my GN to 10psi until I install my alky and some other stuff. I have a heavy duty actuator on the turbo, and an RJC boost controller.

As I understand, the wastegate opens at 18psi minimum with this actuator, does that mean I can't run anything lower even with the RJC bc? How do I solve this?

Put it in line before the actuator. Open it all the way up and see what boost you get? Start tightening it down until you get desired boost. I would add a little extra octane at first and not try the alky until you get boost control down... Keep your eye on the gauge!

With these type actuators, the lowest boost you'll be able to achieve is what the spring is rated at. Nothing you can do can change that. It's not like the External gates that have two inputs, one below the spring and one above it.

Thanks for the replies. So i'd be best off buying a different actuator, or using this as an excuse to go with an external wg?
