I did a search about moisture and methanol and that it loses it potencey if moisture gets in and to make sure the storage container is sealed. Does Denatured also have the same problem with moisture ?
Reason I ask, is I am currrently using denatured and am considering going over to Methanol. I only go through about a gallon of denatured a month.
Question is, if Methanol was sitting in the reservoir of the car for the month, isnt it prone to collect moisture since the top of Razors reservoir is vented ?
Also, would denatured have the same problem ? Reason for asking is that I dont want to change over to Menthanol if its more prone to collect moisture than Denatured if it sat in my reservoir since I dont drive it regularly.
Thanks

Non issue. Moisture typically is an issue with containers that sit on the ground. Like a car battery.. if you keep it of the ground, wont pickup moisture.

I have had alcohol sit in a tank for months.. as long as it is clear in color.. it is fine.

If it changes color, then concern yourself. Methanol or denatured.. doesnt matter.

I have no idea, I'd like to know too. I just bought 5 gallons of methanol and if I have any left by the fall, I'm wondering if it'll be any good in the spring. I'm thinking it's not that big of a concern considering how it's being used in the cars, but I could be completely wrong :D
