I got a T-66 turbo that I took the compressor housing off to do some more polishing to it. My question is was that ok to do? After I took it all apart I started to wonder if it would have to be sent somewhere to be balanced? Just as long as the blades don't scrap/hit the housing is going to be ok, right? Sorry for such a dumb question I just want to make sure before I run it on the car. Thanks, Jason

If all you did was pull the housing, and did not loosen the lock nut on the wheel,YOull be fine,Just dont bend or brake any of hte impeller blades while handing the center section

While your at it....Port and polish the ends as far as you can reach with air tools and possibly port the wastegate hole too. Be careful when putting back together. Spin the shaft while tightening the bolts and it will let you know when to stop turning the wrench and go to the opposite side.

Thanks, Bo I'll do that before I put it back together. I sent the exhaust housing to Swain Tech to have it ceramic coated so I'll give it a try while I'm waiting for it. BTW I polished the housing with the Mothers Powerball and it's worth the $30.00 for it. The housing was already polished some but now it's like looking in a mirror  Jason
