Question on MAF sensor

What would be better?I have a three inch inlet on my TE-45a and i am thinking of changing over to a LT1 MAF 3inch and Translator Plus.My pipe to the turbo is three inch too.So would going to a 3.5 inch MAF Sensor be better for air flow.Keep in mind that i would have to get a reducer from the MAF to the pipe.So does it make sence doing this or not.

I would do the LS1 3.5" sensor. Even if you have to step it back down to 3", every little bit helps.
