I just found the problem with my engine turns out my timing chain skipped and i need to rebuild my heads. I figure i should just go ahead and swap the cam get some hardened pushrods and maybe port the heads and the intake while theyre off. Any suggestions on what cam and injectors or anything else i would need to complete a heads and cam package?

Im looking to get into mid to high 12s and still be able to drive it from point a to point b not too much

I would go with a mild 204/214 cam from either Summit or FrankG on here. As for injectors I would go with the largest you may ever need, like 60's from Turbotweak with a chip. If you know how to port, or know of someone who can help or do it inexpensively, definitely do the intake and heads. Heads is where it's at!

On race gas, 93 pump, 93/alky, or E85?
Squid has some very good advice, and I would add a few other things;
Make sure you spend the money on a good recording type scantool, WB and TT chip!
Performance parts mean nothing without a good tune, even if the combo is right, no matter which way you choose to go.

With mid 12's, 40lb injectors will get you there.
Find some good used 50 lb injectors, and have them cleaned.
If you are buying new, get the 79lb injectors, so you can run E85.
