where is the serial number and what is the casting number on a 84\85 engine block

25520329 is the casting number. It should be found on the side of the block near the freeze plugs iirc.

if i rember correctly its on the drivers side on the block in the area underneath where the head sits in that area of the block i know if u get underneath the car u can see it right above the side of the oil pan ... damn i hope this makes sense kinda confused myself hth
