Questions on backspacing,offset

I am looking for some custom mesh wheels and have some questions.
The 86 Regal has a backspacing of -13 to +8. and a spacing of 120.65mm. All of the wheels I've inquired about are at the least +20. What kind of spacer will I need,if any?. Some of the spacings are 120mm. Will that work? I want a
17" wheel but most are 18". I want a 8" rim on the front and a 9.5" in back. Will that work?
ANY HELP APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!

I'd say 4" to 4.5" backspace on the fronts and 4.5, maximum 5" on the rears with the rims you've mentioned. 8"front and 9.5 rear.

Usually a wheel that has between 3.5" to 4" of rear spacing is ok...

Sorry to dredge up an ancient thread, but .... Who is (was) "they", who gave this range of offsets?

BTW, for practical purposes, for an 8" rim that's backspacing of 4.00" (-12.7mm offset), 4.25" (-6.35mm), 4.50" (0mm), or 4.75" (+6.35mm).
