I'm fixing to order a race chip and was wondering what octane level: 100, 107 or 110 would be best for my combo. I've had 110 chips in the past and just wondered if there'd be that much difference between the three different octane ratings. Thanks.

The chip doesnt know octane. It only knows how much timing advance to apply to the motor based on load and RPM's. Difference between the three is probably nill timing wise..and maybe your car likes 26 degrees..or maybe it likes 28 degrees..or ???everyone of our cars is particular to tune.

Chip also doesnt know how much boost... The higher the octane the fuel, usually the higher the timing to get it to burn. Keeping in mind intake air temps.

Whats better for your car..get the three chips and find out. Only way I know is running the car at the track, getting averages, then making decisions. Its all a juggle :)
