Has anyone found just using the yellow nub thing to be effective in keeping the secondary spring in place?

Also, that yellow nub, is it suppose to be on the primary weight side? I read on here it was, however a diagram in a book does actually show it on the secondary side??

would it just be better to tap the hole and put a screw through it?

Thanks

Well I tapped the hole too for a set screw so now I can do it both ways.

But as i think about it more, centrifugal force wants to push the spring against the weight correct? So then the other side will start to come off the shaft, so wouldn't the yellow nub way be better than a screw on the weight.
