quick question on wastegate actuator install

I have got a wastegate actuator but am having some problems getting it installed. The piece that the wastegate rod connects to is turn into the opposite position as it should be. Is there a way to remove this piece to change its position or how is this accomplished. There is only 45 degrees of movement on the piece but needs to be in opposite position it is currently in for wga to reach it and make it work. I have tried shop manual and it gives disassembly but says nothing of this piece other than hook or unhook of rod.
