I need some advice as to how to approach on setting up the translator settings for racing. I have the latest release installed and current extender chip is setup for 19/17 timing.
I have a stock Turbo, stock downpipe, stock big neck intercooler and mild built transmission.
I currently want to setup the trans+ settings with 104 unleaded. Why 104 unleaded you ask, well, not to many 1/4 mile strips around my area and my club hosts monthly races (bracket)at one of the local 1/8 track. I would rather be a little conservative until the big race in October, than I will be using the good stuff.
I only have a scanmaster to help in my tuning (I know, I need DS or TL). My thoughts were to change the timing to 21/19, up the boost to 20-21 lbs and I think I would need to make some fuel adjustments. This is where I'm not sure to what?
Is this the best approach on making changes to the trans+ or should I do something different before I grenade the motor?
