I have a adjustable VDO boost gauge inside my car.No matter what way i turn it the boost it is always 17lbs when reaching full boost. Why would my boost be stuck at 17 and the knob does nothing to turn the boost down or up?I do have a Racegate and i had a 60-1 turbo that i just replaced with a TE-44 turbo.Routing the vacuum lines were a little different with the install.Maybe i reversed the 2 lines of the boost gauge?Any one have an idea what it could be.

Boost from turbo outlet should go to inlet on top of the gate. If it is hooked up right put a bleeder inline and adjust there bleeding off boost pressure should increase the boost. As far as turning it down i believe the tension on the spring(adj. nut on top of housing that's the way the deltagate is). Loosening should decrease the boost(allowing it to open earlier)

I believe a have it hooked up right. The line at the side goes up to a T fitting with one rubber hose coming up from the wastegate and the other side to my VDO gauge and at the top of the T goes a rubber line directly to the turbo port.If i turn the screw on the racegate to lower the boost does that somehow make the VDO boost gauge manually work? Thanks for your reply

Trading TA- are you sure it doesnt go on the side fitting- the top fitting says vacuum on the racegate.all the diagrams i see have boost on the side fitting.?

The side one I have a T going up.One to the turbo, straight throgh, one for the racegate on the side of the T ,and the other side goes the boost control gauge line.I am sure now I have a severe exhaust leak and thats why i can't control the boost gauge.:)

Good to hear 49- blues.Just for some reason the boost control knob does not decresae or increase boost.I got to take my car in Monday for service hopefully I don't have a blown head gasket.:)
