I installed a new Racetronix fuel pressure regulator using the thin spacers on the stock fuel rail. It's leaking at the rail. I got it tightened strongly and it's still leaking some. I double checked the o ring to make sure I didn't pinch it or if it had a defect but it looks fine. I replaced it anyway. I looked in the rail port and it seems fine. My old Kirbans never leaked. I replaced it b/c it was starting not hold the pressure steady and was a little slow to increase pressure. Bison has a video on FB about fuel regulators including the Racetronix and says the spacers could be touch thicker. It feels like the need to be touch thinner to me. Anyone else run into this issue? It pretty damn annoying. I never had an issue taking a regulator off or replacing one.

No such issues with mine . It’s a nice piece & is working perfectly.
Try adding a thin shim type spacer (if it’s too short) or remove the plastic spacers altogether & try some thinner washers (if you need them shorter). 🤷‍♂️

The spacers I have are aluminum. The only reason I think the spacers need to be thinner is the first time I tightened the screws to what I do the regular 10mm bolts and it leaked bad. When I redid it, I really tightened it and now there is a small trickle. I'll have to remove it again and see if I can stack a few washers that will be thinner than the aluminum spacers. It's going to be a pain to juggle all that though. The Kirbans never leaked a drop.

Ok, resolved. I undid the return line and attached the regulator to the rail on it's own. I held it flat againt the inside mating surface and tightened it. The return line is braided ss teflon and it must have been cocking the regulator just enough not to seal well.

I’ve had issues with this regulator on champion rails, always get it to seal but it likes to put up a fight. Usually stock rail installs have been trouble free

Glad to hear you got it fixed so easily 👍

I had to go fishing for those damn spacers a couple of times which just added to my frustration. Aluminum so no magnet retrieval.

I looked at them and it looks like a newer version is out recently. Lost me at spacers lol

It comes with 2 sized spacers. The thinner spacers are for the stock rail. They go between the rail mount and the regulator. The long spacers are for aftermarket rails. It's a very nice piece. It was easy to set the pressure. The old Kirbans one kept increasing the idle pressure. I had it set to 43 and it creeped to 47!

I just saw that. I will keep my accufab or even the precision type. Spacers and universal fir always pisses me off.
