SignUp Now!RT is a supplier to several Buick vendors such as Cruz Performance and Full Throttle Speed. They do not specifically give support to the end user. The problem is several years back there were some board members who specifically slammed every chance they got. When someone would ask about RT then the same few folks would blast RT and tell them to go with vendor X instead. It happened many times and quite frankly RT got fed up with it. Im surprised they are continuing to do business with the Buick community over a few dumb asses..... Doesn't take long before you get a bad taste in your mouth and say you know what??? F... IT!! Everyone has issues at some point with alot of stuff....we get that. But damn, at some point its time to let shit go and when you have the same few that go on and on and on.... It creates a bad problem for everyone.
Agreed... I monitor the feedback post regularly due to exactly what you are referring to. 5% of the people seem to create 95% of all the problems...I watched this unfold back in the day and though I have no dog in this fight, I understand how RT would come to the decision they did. There were some merciless folks out there.
Maybe a board staff member like yourself could extend an olive branch to RT on behalf of the TB.com guys that want to use their stuff?
Once that is done, mention to those few Nay Sayers out there that if they keep up the bashing, they might just get what dearly departed CharlieF1 would call "a vacation"........... and then stick to your guns.
Just my 2 cents worth.
I field alot of customer questions through our staff. Some are technical, some are great questions and we field some GREAT suggestions as well, some are well..you know stupid. Its the cost of doing business in my mind. Does RT have a bitch about feeling picked on over a lack of customer support in this forum? Well maybe, but read my first sentence... It's his business "literally" to live or die by. In my opinion, some sort of customer support is expected and deserved by the customer. If you do a quick google search on Racetronix...... tb.com is NOT the only forum which has stated issues with support, so in my opinion....it's just the way RT decided to run his program. I wonder if RT is going to stop selling other vehicle lines like turbo buicks as well?
Not picking on the guy, just seeing things on both sides and pointing out what I see. Grand National guys are not the ONLY guys looking for solutions with his products. And it appears more that just turbo buick guys are not happy. Just food for thought!
If no support is to be offered off the website, I think no sales should exist off the website. It give the customer a false sense of security to the brand and creates confusion in my opinion.

I think RT has some of the best solutions that I've seen to date. I have one nagging problem with RT. I purchased their braided fuel line kit to go along with their sender & 450lph single with AN 8 & 6 lines. The kit is designed to package with a Fram canister filter. I think RT said they were losing money on this so they changed filters after my purchase. I registered for their web for installation instructions (routing) and the instructions were worthless. I have spent MANY hours attempting to properly package / install the fuel filter mounting bracket and filter assembly. I have dry fit and modified the bracket a number of times to achieve a safe and robust fit. I'm closer to having this completed but when you need to dry fit & fabricate as much as this modification has required, it's time to speak up. Racetronix made little to no effort to document an install sequence & to provide installation dimensions and proper photos.
Wow..don't forget your tissues..From Racetronix:
We have not provided direct support for TB product for the past two years.
We had too much aggravation on the TB forum about our support here and for not having phone support.
All product sales and support is via our TB dealers only!
All customers should be advised of this before they make their purchase.
If and when the climate changes on TB forum we may reconsider our position
So.. there it is.
Rick
The new style filter won't fit where you mounted yours. Thanks for the pics though.Mounting it in the body near by may be easier.
Looks like your e-cable bracket had to be lowered to get the fuel feed cable ( to the rail) under it.Mounting it in the body near by may be easier.
Nothing changed with the e-brake during the install.Looks like your e-cable bracket had to be lowered to get the fuel feed cable ( to the rail) under it.
