I was thinking about getting the Ultra Chip from Poston but, I noticed that most guys have the 93 chip.....is there any reason for this and which chip is the best way to go for reaching specific track times? I know the Ultra is more expensive but, from my understanding it does alot more.....so pretty much what chip is the best overall?

as adustable chips go, I vote for the MaxEffort 16 pos......most of the older tech chips just adjust timing and boost using the stock solenoid....the ME is much different and provides a lot more tuning options

what for? if you have a ME 16, you have a low timing chip and a high timing chip.....and fuel curves to accompany them at any given boost level

Extender Chip, trans+, and LT1 or LS1 MAF sensor is a good option as well.

I'm not trying to get into vender bashing, so please don't flame me guys. But I have not really been happy with any performance parts from Poston. On the other hand Poston's stock replacement parts have been good to me.

Im new to GN's and I really havent ordered anything.....I just wanted to get a good overview of all the parts and manufacturers.....I did notice that when I called Poston, their staff was not very knowledgeable but, like I said haven't tried anyone yet, just getting everyone's opinion

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I liked my 8 position Ultra chip. I used pos 3 for around town driving on 91 octane, Pos 5 for 100 UL and pos 7 for 114 at the track. IF you switch between gas often, it is a good chip. IF you plan to only run 91-93 octane gas I would get one chip for that gas due to the cost. I now have 3 differnet chips for my 50's and miss the ease of changing chip settings.
I still have the 8 pos ultra chip for stock injectors. You can e mail me if you are interested in it.
