I've got Tenso-R's and I was hesitant to put them in for fear of the ricer look but my lear seats sat too high for me. I don't regret it at all. They're just black seats and I think they're way more comfortable than stock. I like the harness cutouts and the side bolsters.

those look very comfortable! Nice seats! Black too nice.

I am looking for different types/options of comfortable seats for my Regal. Racing INSPIRED is the seat I am looking for. Buick seat is typical GENERIC 80's crap that GM put out. I am looking to upgrade the seats. Ever set in a Corvette? WRX? The seats SUPPORT you. You can't drive a car to it's potential if you don't feel as "one" with your car.

Soooooo true.

On a car set up for cornering you will literally fly out of your seat without the proper support and restraints

These are picts of my housemates '93 E36 BMW, its gutted - 2800 lbs, has a few eng mods and numerous suspension mods.
On michelin pilot sport street tires IIRC 235/245 17 combo, I literally (as a passenger) have to clamp my hand on to the upper area of his seat to keep from being thrown out of the passenger seat on mountain runs.

Having driven the car numerous times I find that the sparco is extremely supportive but it is a race seat. I find it to be perfectly comfortable because when I drive I like to drive and not lounge in the car. If you want to lounge and ride in the car rather than drive, or are a drag racer, a seat like this is definitely not for you.
The seat in combination with the Schroth 4 point harness glues your behind in place so you can focus on driving rather than hanging on to the steering wheel to keep from flying around. IIRC, Schroth is the only manufacturer of a DOT legal harness out there.

For the street/track I would personally go with a seat with the same lower design but sans the head "cage". The upper portion makes it very difficult to see rearward when backing up and hurts peripheral vision.

I would look for something with a course material covering it. I had a corbeau in my old F body that had like a velour type material covering it and that was not very durable. The sparco has almost like a canvas feel to it. Suede would also be very nice. You of course get what you pay for.

FWIW In my Buick I have the stock seats and they do just fine for drag racing.

Easy install or did you have to do a lot of modifying for the seat tracks to work?

It was an easy install for me, but I have some fabricaton experience. I did have to make new brackets all around on both seats to drop them down as low as I could. It might have been easier to mate the stock tracks up to the mounts on the seats but it would have sat too high for my taste.

Damn, with all my other expenses this winter, now this thread has me wanting new seats.

I will say, so far the only company I've come across that has a bracket and hardware for our cars is Corbeau. Might go with them just for the ease of install.

used to have the scat procar seats in. using single kirkey now

What do ya'll think about these seats? I was actually thinking about having a turbo 6 emblem put on them also. Am I crazy or do ya'll like these?

I like these ones as well from the other post; I hope its okay I cut and pasted. It would be neat to see the "Grand National" headrest on it. And if I lived in my dream world; I would love to see the buick indy 500 colors done in a "bride style gradition" Fadding from darker shade to lighter shade for the center cushions. It that make sense. That would be bitchen.

Yeah that's another plus about the Corbeau seats, perfect color options. I think I'll continue on with my shopping list for now, but come spring if I get all my other work finished I might treat myself to a new drivers seat and then try to stop modding my car for a few months!

I have the Corbeau Legacy seats in my GN. The seat brackets are for a G body and bolt right in. I just have to get my back seat redone to match the fronts.

Not a Regal, but here are the Cobra seats in my 2+2:

I will spend a whole day in them at open road races and they are pretty comfortable. We had a shop cover them in the factory 1986 material to match the back seat.

Hear are my T-type's Flowfits, again covered in the correct material:
