I was wondering if anyone had a way to make or does anyone have templates on how to make a replacement for the rubber air deflector that goes under the radiator. Mine is showing its age and just flops around and looks rather ugly and I was thinking of maybe making something out of thin sheet metal to replace the oringal one. Thanks for your time and help!

I believe I saw a replacement in either the Poston or Kirban catalogs that was made out of three pieces of sheet metal with slotted sides so the bottom could be raised or lowered for street/strip. Looked like it would be fairly easy to make.

Check this place out:

...go to Grand National/GRP 8...near the bottom is Rubber Apron
Material...I had been looking all over for replacement rubber to match the stock stuff but couldn't find anything...well this stuff is identical...if you are just going to replace the center piece then get the 21" x 43" piece...if you want to replace the side pieces also then get the bigger piece...just trace the old pieces then cut out...use a hole punch to make the holes...

ATR has a alum. one that actually boxes in the radiator and pressurizes it (doesn't allow the air to escape out the bottom and sides).
I have one coming but it is back ordered right now.
It is supposed to work well and cost ~ $89.:D

Scott, can you describe that rubber apron stuff? No photo on that site and I'm just wondering what it is exactly. How thick, how rigid, is it smooth or rough textured, is it easy to cut and how, etc.? I'm looking for stuff to make some *tasteful* mudflaps and maybe an air dam extension type thing and this stuff may work. Thx!
