I bought a t type not sure which cap to use.The car has a 13 pressure and the book said 16 which is correct?

I'm not sure but I have a 16# on my recored original radiator.

Hi,
Just a note. Some of the Chinese caps have insufficient secondary gaskets, and will blow coolant everywhere, under pressure.Oreilly sells these.I am currently using the AC Delco cap, made in India, but they have their stuff together.Buy a Srant, made in USA,if you can find one. Maybe at NAPA.

I have a fbody radiator that came with a 13lb cap and I don't think my stock cap fit. How do I get the correct one? Any parts store have it?

A part store should be able to look up the correct cap for the radiator by the original application, 89 camaro for example. Then find a alternate pressure in that cap style. The F body should come with a 15-16 lb cap stock. Should be adequate.

My fbody rad came with this damn 13lb cap and I just discovered it wasn't right for the car. Thanks for the help.

I’m pretty sure mine had 7lb cap. I believe i have a 14 on there now.

I never had any issue with the 7lb.

I have plenty of the correct original radiator caps what makes them unique is they say on them made in england....

however they do not fit some of the reproduction radiators if you have the original radiator it will fit as its original....

denniskirban@yahoo.com

they are good cleaned used ones...nobody has them brand new what makes them unusual is it says on them made in england...I don;t have one in front of me to know what the pressure is think it reads RC-27....

Thanks Dennis. I need one that fits the fbody radiator so I'll just check the parts stores today.

Thanks again.
