Radiator petcock

It's been a while since I flushed the radiator, and the last time I put in petcocks on the block - both sides. I seem to remember a problem with that stupid little black plastic petcock on the lower passenger side of the radiator.

I just tried to open it - CCW - and nothing would come out. Anybody else have that problem ? I'm kinda afraid I might break the thing off, and don't know if I can find a replacement. Maybe I can flush it w those block petcocks.

You can get the drain valve at auto zone. If you have a pressure tester. Loosen drain valve and pressurize system and it will blow the crap out of the radiator.

Is our radiator the same as the GTA's ? I would hope that at least the petcock is.

They should be the same. Call the dealer they should have delco ones in stock. I would get it out there is probably a lot of crap at bottom of rad
