Thanks I understood one for each side...I asked because i purchased one of those Pioneer CD players that's made for GM cars....the right side bracket wasn't quote jiving up with the side of the radio like I thought it was supposed to. Yet these same brackets worked fine on a factory delco radio and even an adapter for an aftermarket radio.

At first it had me thinking maybe there was a different type for the right side. LOL

How does everyone get the right side bracket to work?

My brackets are identical and did fit right and left on the Delco factory radio but don't fit the right side of the Pioneer p47 radio.

Ive never noticed a problem other than theres usually no spot for the rear bolt to secure to radio to bracket...there is a left and right bracket......got a pic?

Mine were both the same and did fit the stock radio just fine.

The bolts are in different spots on each side on my stock radio, both the front bolts are in the same place back one is different.

To fit the Pioneer Radio P47 I got the left side on just fine and had to drill the other bracket to fit a rear bolt and then used a #4 I believe short self-tapping screw in the front hole which happened to line up with a hole in the metal case for the Pioneer.

It's all bolted on but I'll snap a pic. or two at lunchtime.

Only difference is the 7mm screws that secure radio to dash cavity is one side is lower than the other....this is the difference betwen left and right...if the 7mm line up, it a radio glitch...they (pioneer on other din and a half) were made for chryslers of that era too.....pics will help future searches..thanks salvage

Okay after your last post I went outside and looked at the mounting holes and the brackets aren't made to go on evenly on each side, so that explains it all.

Brackets are identical on left and right side but the holes and screw locations are different causing a high low dash mounting point to line up with the offset in-dash mounting holes. :p

I was trying to align the right side bracket evenly with the left side which isn't necessary and won't work.

So the best way to mount the brackets is in the car or one at a time when looking at the stock radio mounting points. o_O

Thanks Gary!!!

COOL!! good deal, i remembered something right this week :D

I have C.R.S. this week.

I PM'd James looking for a factory radio with a wiring harness lol.

The radio doesn't have but that 2 wire memory and lighting plug out of it and the factory harness goes into the radio with all the other connections.

Oh well the last time I had one out was in 1994.:po_O

Enough embarrassment for one week, now maybe I can get some tunes into the good speakers I installed years ago.
