its not supposed to be much but it is two fans and both fan power wires have to get 12v to spin hi-speed , i dont think the adapter lets you go high speed

i have the racetronix hotwire on both my cars which have 30A fuses (1 for lowspeed , both for high speed ) and have had one of my fuses blow twice , i have since replaced it with a 30A slow blow and its been holding just fine .
the fact that i blew a 30A fuse makes me glad i went to the hotwire setup to take all the load off the factory harness rather than have the original fusible links burn up.

The adapter wires both both fans to 12 volt. I have a "manual on" set up from my factory fan ( for staging lanes ), and this had a 20 amp fuse---which blew. Upped it to 30 amps, and so far so good. Still would like to know how many amps these fans draw. Thanks, Brian

Place the 40 amp orange fuses in there if they continue to blow.
Do not use any auto-reset breakers in the fuse holders.
Only ATC type fuses should be used.

Steady state current is in the mid twenty amp range. The larger fuse will help deal with the higher inrush current on motor spin-up. A 40A fuse will still provide all the protection you need when using the Racetronix harness.

Yes, each relay contact is rated at 40 amps.
The Metri-Pack connector terminals are rated at 46 amps.
All wiring is 10 Ga. and the lengths are kept as short as possible with an added ground.
One fan motor per circuit is no problem all day long.

Ramcharger Fans

Yeh, I just bought the Ramcharger Fan setup at the suggestion of the List. With the GN harness along with it, I guess it uses the stock relays and fuses.

A real bargain ! Saved me ~ $250. over the Flex-a-lite pair I was going to get from Jegs. Say -does anyone know how to mount them ?

No directions and it's not obvious because the mounting holes (4) are on the side and the GN mounting points are on the top & bottom.

all you need is a hacksaw (or sawzall) or a grinder with a cuttoff wheel and a wrench to remove the old fan and reinstall the lower bracket from it to the top
the fan is from a dodge , it wasnt built for a buick but it works great , you need to cut the ears off the fan and groove where you cut them off . then just pop it between the end tanks of the radiator.
