Good info! Thanks for sharing that with us.
I have a question, though. If you leave the RC harness the way it is, the fans will still come on whenever commanded, right? (ECM, temp, AC) The only difference from stock is that you lose the low speed capability, correct? If this is true, (I'm not 100% sure) then why change anything? Is this to primarily retain the low speed function? Just curious to why guys want cooling fans to run on "low" speed....

Well acutally I did this because of the maunal fan switch. When I run my car at the tracks and doing some 1/4" runs when comming back to the pit area I noticed the car water temps is over 185 degrees. So I turn of the fan for 10 min, if they were on HIGH I would be afraid it will eventually kill my battery. These fan are duals and draining more current vs. the stocker, I would say it will draw over 30 amps or current in HIGH. There is a noticable difference in low and high speed on this fan. And also less wear on the motors.
I did my fans at work on Tuesday and it was a hot humid day. While testing to see if the high speed would turn on I had it on LOW (A/C off) and running for 20 min in the hot sunny afternoon the temps would not go over 168.
To me I just making use of this 2-speed fans. Just to be different
does someone have a website for these fans...i remember seeing the site but forgot to bookmark the site....thanks...danny...
hope to see pple running tonite...should be fun like the club races
Last two...??? Not sure where you guyz are getting the GN plug in harness ones but did purchase the non-harness one that fits on a G-body V8 rad perfectly. stew
