I'm not gonna name which vendor it is,because we need to be grateful that these vendors even exist. Plus,I don't want to create bad feelings here. This is my first time dealing with this vendor. Of course I'd deal with them again. But maybe not for something fragile.

Recently I ordered some frame braces, the 2-hole console gauge pod, some Zinc additive and small parts. Maybe someone in charge should watch/train the packaging people more carefully.

The gauge pod was floating around unprotected with the braces. The gray was worn off in spots, but I have gray interior paint. No big deal. a brace was making it's way thru the box. It might have came out,and someone pushed it back in. One wad of paper in the corner serving no purpose.

Oh... Btw,they put the wrong invoice in there, too. S.Maxwell from Iowa,I have your receipt. Not sure where mine is. I don't need it. If anyone knows who he is,please have him PM me if he wants his receipt.

Plus side: My order was correct, and the braces look beefy.

*** Note: This order was NOT from nos4GN. I have dealt with them a few times before. Their packaging was excellent (even with a fragile headliner) and their shipping and communication was faster than a speeding bullet.

I'm easy to please. I'll just paint my gauge pod. But please watch those people packaging stuff.

Hey Steve, it's me, go ahead and pitch the reciept. Funny thing is I got mine today also, and was disappointed in the shipping myself. The thermostat wasn't even in a small box, just loose with all the braces banging around. There was a big hole in the box from one of the braces that the thermostat could have easily fallen out from, but didn't. O well, I painted the braces tonight, and will install tommorrow. No biggie.

Thanks for letting me know. Mine did come with a reciept, but it's for my shipment.

If I didn't hear from you,I was just gonna mail it to you since your address is on the receipt.

I see you got the rear and front braces. I just got the front. Are the rear ones as sturdy looking as the fronts? These fronts look good.

They are not as sturdy looking, but they do look like they will do the job fine. I'm a little bummed because I purposely went this route instead of the GNX brace because it looked like these didn't need any holes drilled. That is not the case, it appears that you need to drill 4 or 5 holes. Haven't installed them yet. Knowing that, I prob would have went the GNX brace route and welded it in. O well. I'm sure they will work great, I just have an unmolested low mileage car that I was hoping I wouldn't have to drill.

Quality-wise, they look great, and appear to come with all needed hardware, so no complaints, more just me being uninformed.

Why even post this if you are not going to name names ? It really doesnt help the rest of us avoid the vendor is we dont know who it is .

hello people; I'd say post the vendor. We're all men and women here and it sounds like the vendor should know. Crap happens. No big deal.

also HighMiles lets here about your scooter

Wouldn't it have been easier to just give them a call and explain how your package came?

The vendor knows.

I'd rather not name-drop to detract business from them due to one employee being sloppy.

Plus, the reason why I posted it here is to send a message to all vendors that, even tho we need their interest,we won't accept lack-luster packaging to where our stuff is damaged due to a lack of dunnage and tape.

But trust me... The next time I buy from this vendor,I will be standing at the UPS/FedEx truck with a vid camera and tape the time from receipt of package,to actually opening it to inspect contents.

At least wrap the stuff in newspaper and tape before putting it in the carton. C'mon.

My scoot?? Pics don't do it justice. I built it myself. Many homemade pieces, sent to get chromed. Got it in '84 as a basketcase. I just got out of High School at the time..

I'd really rather not name names with the vendor packaging issue. They read this. They heard from me. They know.
