Wrong Color?

I had a friend in school that got a brand new rosewood color T.
At least that is the color he said it was and it DID NOT look like this car. It was more of a pinkish rose color. Can not remember on interior, but that looks wierd.

OK, I'll bite, why is it rare (I didn't read the whole ad - the pics and bids turned me off)...

It may be the poor quality of the photos but that T looks maroon to me. I'm not sure on the GM designation of that particular color code so forgive me.

The Rosewood T is very dark in color.

Here's Jason Hall's Rosewood.

The reason I chose the picture I did to show was because from a distance it almost looks black. :D

Here's Neal Steward's Limited T. It is probably the lighter color you were referring to.

That looks 'maroon' (dark red metallic) to me, rather than Rosewood. My brother's car is 'DRM' and the parts of the car that still have paint on them look just like the pics.

That car is dark red met. code 8529., same as mine. Rosewood is like the pic BuickMike put up of Neal's car (same shade as Kent Rudbeck's car.) It must be rare because they refer to it as a "Grand National T-Type", which they made...........none! But, nonetheless, worth looking in to based on bids so far.

That car is certainly dark red metallic. I owned an 87 in the same color, but it was a rare one with the split bench and column shift. Should have kept it.

Here is my Rosewood. Click on my car below. Those dark colors appear to be maroon.

That is the Rosewood

That is color I was referring too!

Three Shades of Rosewood

I know of three different shades of Rosewood. The Dark Rosewood Metallic looks like the ones in the picture. Then there was medium Rosewood metallic which is like the '84 I traded for my WE4. There was also a Light Rosewood Metallic which was a light salmon looking color. I looked at a used one around '89 in far north Dallas off of the tollway. It was a high option car but not a limited. Not sure of the rareness, but am doubtful of the one of five statement.

According to the local Buick guys here, yellow is the rarest 87 T made with a total of 25 or something like that.

So no matter what color Rosewood that T is his assertion of "the rarest made with only 5" is totally bogus? I suspected so....
