rattle in dash?

I have an 87 GN all stock that i just bought and I love but, I hear a rattle coming from the left side of the dash. Has anyone been through this? If so please tell me what it is so i'll know what to look for when I get in there. thanks.......jw

check the bump stop under the hood near the windshield by the wipers. the hood rests on that bumper when closed and when it get dry with will make the dash sound like it coming apart. just take some bearing grease on it.

X2! The first time I heard that I thought my windshield was cracking. Amazing what a little dab of grease will do.
