Hey Julio this is Andrew I talked you you yesterday (friday) mid-day about my O2 sensor and you said it has to be one with a purple wire. So the one that was on my car was a black wire so I chased down an AFS20 with the purple wire got it in there and now when I run the car I get a check engine light. So I shut the car off unplugged the orange ECM wire and plugged it back in a couple secs later and it still gives me a check engine while the car is running. Whats going on?

Did you do a back test, meaning did you test the old one after this new one gave you that check engine light. Maybe it is defective.

no cigar

check engine still comes on after i swap the old back in... after i put the new in i tried "purging" the system by hitting the test button on the alky control. could that have done it. i held it in like the instructions say to get rid of air and test for leaks and the car bogged a little so i stopped.

Alky wont mess up the O2. Maybe someone dropped the O2 and cracked it internally.

Yes you need the correct O2. Black wire is not correct.

after i got my turbo tweak chip i got the spark advance and the injector pulsewidth but the malfunction code check went away so i am not sure what the code is. Even after i switched the old O2 sensor back in i still got a check engine code but the old one worked before with no check engine code

yeah i blinked it out and got a code 23 which is the MAT sensor too low. so i checked under the hood to see if i could find the sensor but found one of my couplings for my intake pipe was loose. so i tightened it and voila! problem fixed!! haha its always the simple things that make other things the most difficult. thanks for all your help guys.
