I'll be needing a paint job at some point when I get down there. Are there some pretty good shops?[SlickTR, yep PWT would still be the Lone Ranger, but we could bench race. Actually my car does run, they said they started it the other day at the paint shop. Back half painted with doors fenders back on but not painted. Still a long way to go - bumpers, filler panels, and hood still need painting and put back on, not to mention all the glass except back window is out of the car too.
Check out Cruising the Coast in Biloxi Mississippi, I think it's in Oct. Week long event with lots of muscle cars. There's also a Cars and Coffee meet in Pensacola that I saw on FB....

I think so but good work ain't cheap. Most want to only do insurance work, but I found a few that will do all over paint. My car is almost back together - taking door panels/glass back tomorrow to finish it up. Pulled interior to keep them protected. Guess we will see how good paint work is when it is done, but I've been satisfied so far. Plug for one of our vendors - The body shop was very impressed with the way the Spool Fool filler panels fit. They see a lot aftermarket pieces of lower quality, but like I said, they commented several times how well they fit and look.I'll be needing a paint job at some point when I get down there. T What?, I've missed Friday fest this summer with car in paint shop. Maybe I can still make one this year. Have we met at Friday Fest? Jim from Fort Walton Beach.Bring your cars over here to Panama City when you get settled in. We have a pretty good pit crew.
Never heard of them. There were a couple of performace shops that opened up over the years, but are all out of business now.Hey, dudes. Should be getting my GN back within the next week or two. Needed a new chip and tune. Unfortunately going from 5000 ft above sea level to sea level is probably going to jack with my current tune. Was scoping out driven performance in Pensacola, anyone have experience with them? Also, I'm coming down to scope out some houses and should be moving down there in Oct or Nov, definitely looking forward to having a GN meetup in the near future.

Just got mine back yesterday, it's running great! I'll be there in mid October. I'd love to see your car when it's finished. I'll be looking for a body and paint shop to work on mine so if you recommend your shop I'll scope it out.You military guys should be rollin' in here soon. My car is almost done at body shop. Needs a little more detailing and badges put back on. Kind of like it clean, but since mine is so slow (mid 12s before stall converter), I have to show it is a GN. Never uploaded a picture before, but here is a picture of my car almost complete if I got pic uploaded.
Let's bring this thread back to life when you get into town and meet up. Cooler weather is coming too and that's always good for the GNs. Pleased with what I've seen of paint so far, but it has been there for 9 months. My wife is calling it baby and says it takes 9 months to happen.

Be glad to tell you their names, my opinion and why I chose Premier Paint and Body. Very pleased with effort and work.Just got mine back yesterday, it's running great! I'll be there in mid October.
