Heheh, I'll believe it when I see it, those type of projects are really good at putting bread in the pockets of government contractors without getting good results? The missle defense system is a good example, the Osprey etc. etc. Overall neat project though. I'm thinking I wanna start playing with coil guns myself, I've got a small bank (about 1 uF at 2 KV) of capacitors to play with, some #26 and I need to get some tubing to get into trouble with.

Seems it was last summer the military was able to shoot down an artillery round with the laser gun/particle beam, or whatever catchy name the "gun" is called.

Must not have been to secretive as it was shown on CNN.
