Ok this is what i was thinking for starts on my stock 87 GN:

1. walbro 340 fuel pump w/ wire kit
2. side pillar w/ boost & air/fuel
3. now what size adj. fuel pressure reg. would i want
4. a scantool( dont have a clue what this is.)
5. greddy profec b boost controller.

Now with this said, could someone help me out with the scantool and the ad. fuel press. reg.

Now if i am wasting my money any where or if you have a better suggestion, im all ears.

Thanks once again

1) Get a Knock Gauge rather than an A/F gauge... a scan tool will do this for you (sort of). See http://casperselectronics.com
2) http://TurboLink.com has lots of good information on the various scantools available. Some require a LapTop.
3) You should start with an adjustable wastegate rod http://gnttype.org explains how to make one, before jumping into a expensive boost controller.
4) Get a good chip. A Thrasher is the biggest bang for the buck. $25 for much improved calibrations.
5) You'll want to HotWire that 340... get a kit from http://racetronix.com <- NEVERMIND... I am slow today.

HTH,

There is only one size adj regulator, but different brands. I like the Accufab, about $110 from Postons or Ramchargers.

As far as scan tool a Scanmaster is the best tool for a beginner IMO since you always have it with you, and you never grow out of it. Turbolink is great but you will probably get tired of the laptop in the passenger seat all the time. Eventually you will want both.

Finally I think you should spend more time reading here before you spend a dime, then you will be informed enough to make your own decisions.

Follow the spring cleaning guide at gnttype.org
the car must be tuned up !
scanmaster first that is priority.
then fuel pump and hotwire
then boost gauge
then adjustable fuel psi reg and gauge (Jegs cyberdyne fuel psi gauge).
then chip and knock gauge now you have 3 gauges gaugepods.com has a mean 3 pillar pod for the Turbo regals)
With this setup you can tune the car around the chip. instead of getting the chip and wondering if you have enough fuel and if you are you over boosting. Alot of people get the chip first and wonder.

Now the cat back exhaust single 3" or dual 2.5 mandrel
then downpipe w/3" cat or 3" test pipe

Surely you are going to need traction addressed at this point.

Then the Intercooler
That is a good starter give or take everyone does it different.
Good luck
