My wife was president of the board for meals on wheels (volunteer position) where she was active for many years in the organization.
When the executive director came to the board for a salary review, she did some investigating, since she was laid off. Red flags started pooping up....

When the police showed up at a board meeting, they presented their findings but the board would have to vote to have her removed, since it was a not for profit org. Guess what after hearing the disclosures, the board voted to let her stay. My wife resigned immediately after.
