So, I changed the gear oil in the WE4 a couple of weeks ago when I installed a new rear cover, and I'm curious - do need to check the level of the fluid again after driving the car for a couple of weekends? I don't have any leaks, but I wasn't sure if the level needed to rechecked after the initial fill.

Also, I filled it up to the point where it was just at the lower edge of the fill hole (just to the point where it would slowly trickle down the side of the housing). Is that too much/not enough?

Thanks

Rich if your car has a limited slip you need to add the additive as well. Not sure if you knew that. Also the level should be fine.

if he used mobil 1 synthetic then he doesn't need the posi additive...it already has it...as far as filling it....fill it up as high as you can...it will be ok

Hey, thanks guys...

Yeah, I'm running Red Line synthetic, and it already contains the friction modifier. No chatter so far.
