really loud wineing sound?

on the way home from the track last night and noticed a really loud wineing sound coming from my car. happends at like 50mph and gets louder the faster i go, almost sounds like a supercharger or if my tires were really low on air..?? doesnt do it at idel or when i rev it in park, only at mid speeds.. any idea what this could be.. just put a ck tranny in recently, could it be that , or say the turbo??

Mine did it when the front pump in the trans took a crap.

That makes 3 of us thinking the tranny pump may be giving you issues. You might also check the fluid level in the rear to make sure it's full.

The loud whining sound could be your girlfriend or wife with her big toe caught in the door....did you check your passenger seat?

With it being with speed an under load,the more you go the worse it get's,could be Tranny Or the Rearend Gears,does it come from the back or middle of the car?

i cant really tell, but when the sound occurs on the road say about 50mph, when i lift off the gas it seems to go away a little, then when i get back on the throttle its noticably louder..

You need to get it up on stands supporting the axle and do a little listening. Have someone else hit the gas for you so you can walk around the car and see if you can hear it.

We had a rebuilt BB Turbo do that. Sounded like a 747 driving down the street.. It was LOUD !!! Ended up it was the shaft . Exile Turbo did it over an now it runs like a champ.

Um.....these cars don't have CV joints.

This was a fresh rebuild from Turbonetics !!!! Seriously it was obnoxious driving it around !! I could hear my daughter driving down the street over the sound of the exhaust !!! Just do some digging. The turbo was easy to hear.. There was NO mistaking it for something else !!
