Is there a special tool to change the bushing that the yoke slips into with trans in the car?

One like this works well. Can get at any parts place usually. Obviously remove the DS, pull the seal, Tap the new one in with a seal driver, socket, 2x4, etc. Lube the seal where it touches the DS, and reinstall.

Yes the tool is a seal puller/remover. It is sold at most auto parts stores and sears for about 10-15 bucks. I just used a flat head screw driver and it did the job.

Yes, there is a special puller to remove the bushing. You first remove the seal and then this tool fits over the output shaft. It has expanding fingers with a lip on them that catches behind the bushing.

Its made by atoz tool . They are not cheap. They were in villa park il but I think the inventing side of the place moved .google a to z tools .

Do you have a part number..hope maybe it a kent moore cause if I can find it I can borrow it from work!

To the other posters ,I already have that tool. :) just trying not pull the entire trans down for a bushing just yet.....I am chasing a vibration.

You can call a to z because I beleive they made the tool for Kent Moore. I think they have the patent on the tool. The tool he is talking about above is the a to z tool It removes the bushing ans then there is a sleeve that goes on the same tool to install bushing. That tool does it on the car. The trans does not have to come out
