Rear coil over spring height adjuster

I see that companies like Wolfe and trz sell a adjuster that allows you to use a coil over spring in the rear where you can adjust ride height. Does the stock spring cup need to be removed or do these attach to the stock spring cups. Thanks
 
You need to cut the perch flat and weld on. Or you could weld to top but harder to reach
 
heres the ones i put on murphsters car , with 12-150 2.5" coilover springs
the springs are lighter than the OE stuff , really good selection for finding the right weight , and around $75 a pair
what you cant see is that i also welded a short 1 3/4 diameter piece of tubing to the frame at top to keep the spring from falling off the frame seat when on a lift
