Okay, I was able to locate an 8.5 open rear end out of a T-type locally fairly cheap for my raped 87 GN (long ugly story).... Now for the question of the day...when looking for a posi unit, will any 3.73 GM 8.5 10 bolt work or does it have to be specific for the G body? I have never dealt with rear ends before and have limited knowledge about them. Will the internals out of an early camaro, s-10 work as they are 8.5 10 bolt units? I have been looking on eBay and have located several older camaro units for not a lot of money. I am going to completely rebuilt this rear end and replace the brake hardware before installing it.
