rear main seal issues

got everything apart last night. so far so good...

the only thing im having an issue with is the block side of the seal. its freakin stuck up in there. ive tried coat hangers, insulated house wire, plyers to pull it... nothing is cutting the cheese. the plyers just keep tearing chunks off, the wire pushes into the seal and doesnt move it. ive tried turning the crank while pushing it with wire, that doesnt even work/....

is there any other suggestions? something maybe i havent thought of?

beleive it or not a brass punch as close to the size of the seal wil start it moving. Once going they will usually come right out. I have had them be a real pain in the arse sometimes.

Of course just be careful
