I've had good luck with the duttweiler cork pan gasket. If you're just doing the rear main seal and pan gasket it was about a 2hr job for me in the driveway. The timing chain was more like an 8hr job including pulling the pan. I did both jobs separately. Make sure you're ready when you do the timing chain. It's not bad but it takes some time and patience. My front cover had never been off and the gasket was rock hard. Lots of slow scraping. Pulling the oil pan was a piece of cake on my car so I wouldn't necessarily recommend doing both jobs at the same time.
 
Absolutely get a new pickup tube. Neoprene seal. Whatever pan gasket you use,I'd recommend a thin coat of Ultra Black.

A pic of my pickup tube screen is below. Threw it in the trash and put a new one on.
