Rear mount turbo

Hi guy im new here i see that most of the car on here have the turbo in front and the one im looking at is in the rear of the intake whats up with that ? any help here.Is this good or bad any up or downs with it?

Hot air car. 84 or 85. No intercooler, a little less performance when stock. Can be made to run well, do some reading.
