rear questions

hey guys. I got m rear end out to re do it. I'm totally disassembling it tonight. should I sandblast the rear housing before painting it? Or is the old wire brush ok? What would you guys do. I have access to a sandblaster for free. Is sandblasting over kill for a rear end?

I would think a wire brush would be fine for light surface rust, but if it's got some seriously thick rust on it, then blasting would be the way.

If you do sandblast, make sure the insides stay clean! Don't want any sand in there.

stay away from sand blasting that crap gets EVERY WHERE
