Rear speaker removal

Can someone tell me how do you get the rear speakers out ?
I have a pair of 6X9 speakers in the rear that also have the 4X10 to 6X9 adaptors.
They have some sort of metal retaining "wires" that hold them in place and I can not figure out how you are supposed to get them down away from the speakers so you can remove them.
I dont have a picture but I am assuming that is how they were used for the original 4X9 speakers to keep hold them in place ?

Does this make sense or do I need to post a picture ?

Hope these work but here are some pics since my post may have not been clear.
I cant seem to figure out how those metal wires holding the speakers in place are removed without bending the crap out of them.

it just unclips on the inside,then slides out of the slots on the outside...if you have the 6x9's with the adaptors,then it will be alot harder to unsnap.....take notes,there are left and right holders/metal retainers and adapters.
