Can I swap in rear coils from a 91 camaro into my 86 regal? If not, what other cars are good donors?
 
Just go down to the local auto parts store, replacememnt rear springs are pretty dang cheap. The camaro springs won't work....

Yes, you can. I think you have to use the Camaro spring insulators (little rubber cup the spring sits in at the top of the frame. Don't worry you'll see them as when you change the springs they will either fall in your face or stick to the spring).
You can also use the 80's S10 pickup springs. There are different rates for the different engines, so you can chose your stiffness.

IROC camaro springs are some of the stiffest and a good swap.

You can also use the Camaro and S10 springs in the front.
They make a cargo coil for the Camaro and G-body also, but you may want to trim them as they may raise the back.

I have camaro springs in my car. My wheel lip rides about even with the top of the tire. Also, gives more clearance for my tailpipes.:D
 
Yeah I have Camaro springs on all four corners of my GN. On the rears you have to use the rubber insulators on the top. Makes it easy if you have to cut a coil to lower the ride height. Watch out because if you cut them to short the springs fall out everytime you jack the car up. I have 1LE springs on the front and stock the front of the car sits up about 2 inches higher than new stock ones but you can also trim a half of coil or so to lower it down some. Warning they are stiff riding SOB's though. The S-10's are a good choice also for the fronts(the backs are leaf springs) but by looking in my Moog catalog I think those are just as stiff? One final word if you want killer 60 foots on the strip stick with the springs for a G-body. My ET went to hell with the stiffer springs.
