I've ordered both rear view mirrors that oldbuickparts.com (Car's Inc) has to offer for an '87 GN and neither fit over the block on my windshield.
On my stock rearview mirror, the opening that slides over the block needs to be 1-1/16" wide to fit over the windshield block. It has a 3 embossed inside the clamp (on the mirror assembly itself, the part with the attachment screw).
On both the mirrors I bought, the openings were both only about 15/16" wide.
WTF!?!
My rearview mirror has the following numbers embossed on the back of the mirror itself I e 13 01 * 574.
The ones I ordered had Donnelly USA I E 8 011082 and underneath that it has I e 13 01 * 574.
Where can I get a rearview mirror that will fit over the block I have on my windshield, as far as I know it should be the stock mirror and mounting block.
