Rebuild kit and converter

Hey everyone! I need help and fast. I have to buy a rebuild kit for my tranny asap, as I am working on my car on saturday with a bunch of people, and I want this thing on the road. I need a kit that can take 500 hp possibly, and be able to take a mild beating once in a while with power braking and such at the track. I also need a converter, preferably a 2800 stall. Prices? Vendors? Any help would be great. I am looking to spend around 250 for the kit,a nd prolly another 300 on a converter, unless they are cheaper! Any other advice for the tranny? Is a cooler a good idea? If so, where can I get one! Thak you guys.

Orange Strip converters are in that price range... I cannot imagine the rebuild kits are outside of that range either..

Sorry could not provide other details.. I would check the PTS website for the kit.

WHAT'S UP RACEMYBUICK, I just got a GN, from Rockaway but I work in Parsippany...mine is all tore up under construction right now too, looking for a nice TC ....those listed above are nice but I was hoping to find something a little closer to the East coast. lemme know if you find anything, I'll keep my eye out too. holla back!

Thanks chris for CK, everyone seems to recommend them, but I am jsut concerned as to what kit I should buy. Anyone? Specific kits? Converters?
